Create a shortcut from playonlinux to your PlayGTAV.exe

Follow initial setup page located on this site if you have not already

Create a new 64bit virtual drive for Grand Theft Auto V

Configure the drive and install the latest components of:
dotnet480
DXVK (192 at time of writing)
vcrun2019
dinput8
physx

When configuring the playonlinux drive, in the general tab, click make a new shortcut for this virtual drive and locate the PlayGTAV.exe

BUGS: I have encountered an unfortunate glitch on my system. When using keyboard and mouse, the game lags considerably. With an xbox one controller, there is no lag. Also, there may be some minor issues with certain shadows and reflections.

PERFORMANCE TIP: If you have a high end powerful CPU in a LAPTOP that struggles with keeping cool, disable turbo boost while playing. Run in the terminal:

and then to turn back on

echo "0" | sudo tee /sys/devices/system/cpu/intel_pstate/no_turbo
